    First step into the new moon Empty First step into the new moon

    Post by Yakate Sun Nov 29, 2009 4:03 pm

    A rush of cold wind swept through the boardwalk; followed by a kick up of dust, trailed into the air from the wind. A beady figure from the distance shot both his... yes, his arms to his mouth, coughing mildly once; two times. He bent his neck while doing so, keeping his legs stiff as a rock. He was staring out into the distance, staring at the wide, blue sea. That deep water surface... now, it was afternoon. The orange sun shone brightly over it, masked by the clouds mostly, but still shining ever-bright; occasionally when he swooped his eyes over the water, he would painfully pull back; the sunlight's reflection upon the water hurt his eyes. He ignored all the debris behind him. Debris... hm? Rather all the tables and chairs, etc... namely, debris.

    Yakate edged out to the very edge of the place, coming as close to the water as possible. His mouth was shut tight, his face betrayed no sign of emotion; shock, surprise, nothing. His eyes, however, seemed illuminated by the deep blue sea, but his face showed no extra emotion, making his expression so... very... strange. His hands were clasped together roughly, right behind his back, as he bent over, staring at the water under him; his vague reflection staring back at him.

    He shivered when another gust of cold wind swept towards him, from the water itself. The temperature was indeed, rather low. But this he was used to; cold weather meant nothing. He sighed, and blinked his eyes slowly. Opening them again, he nimbly spun around, looking behind him, hoping to see someone... but no one was there. He was as lonely as ever; despite his new start into an academy full of other ninja just like him. He tilted his head slightly; a false smile lined his pale white face. His arms slid forwards from his back, and he wrapped them tightly around his chest, shielding himself from the cold. So calm and quiet... he heard a bird squeal out in the distance occasionally, but that was it; no one was there... all alone...

    Koori happen to be in the area, he looked mysterious and very shady with his black and white hoodie, the hoodie was over his head dead so it hid his face, he walked slowly to the boy he saw taking small staeps as he did, he knew this boy was here for a while, the cold aura emittied from his body as normal as each step made small ice patches on the ground as soon as he got close to the boy he said in a small cold voice just loud enough to be heard. "Hello... ...why do you...stand here alone..."

    He stood with his hands in his pockets as the area around both of them was very cold causing small shades of ice on were they stood.

    Something like a thunderbolt rang through the boy's ears; the silence had nearly numbed his ability to hear. But for some reason, the sound was... not as loud as it should have been. A mist of unsightly cold-ness filled the air, and strangely enough, the sound that pierced his ear-drums were soft... almost as if the cold was speaking to him. Yeah... add a vocal cord to the mere entity of the feeling, feeling cold. That should work...

    But no, seriously, something was wrong with the atmosphere around him. It was cold anyway; cold and dusty, not to mention humid, but this new cold he felt was different. Yakate gasped sharply, choking on his own breath; he let out the pain through several violent coughs. His voice sounded high-pitched and shrill; that is, his coughs were. He swung his arms over so his cough wouldn't fill the air; the upper part of his arm was still attached to his chest. He ven stooped his back over, so his stomach was at right angles to his legs, trying to be as less noisy as possible. His eyes were shut; he was showing all the natural signs of uncomfortability anyone shows while coughing.

    After his violent coughing fit, he stood up tembling slightly, his throat was sore. His hands resumed staying folded across his chest; the rest of his body was as straight as a wooden plank. He saw another living figure somewhere out in the distance, rather close to him. His face was concealed by a sort of mask, that rose from the back of his head to over his eyes. It was from him that the cold aura was spreading; the ground under him seemed to be freezing. Yes, he could literally see ice spreading from the person's very feet. And yet, the ice seemed to be spreading all over the area they were standing in. As if being frozen alive... or was this an illusion?

    Yakate tried to recall what the boy's words were, that made him fall over and cough so abruptly. But his memory seemed to be failing him; he assumed it was a siomple hello. And to think he wanted to be secluded and alone; away from the troubles of the academy. His throat began itching when wind rushed through it; his lips opened softly to utter his first word;

    "Why is your heart... frozen?"

    Yakate's voice sounded serene, distant, echoed within itself. His words were weakly enmphasized, and yet clearly puncuated. Indeed, it sounded like a voice beneath him was echoing the words; his voice seemed to surround the area from all sides. What was more, his voice sounded slightly high-pitched, robotic, some might say. And it even sounded a bit... frightened, like a little child.

    Koori saw this boys action he was coughing, he didnt now why maybe because of the cold and the dirt or it was just him, he just stood there as the ice appeard more and the cold was bit more colder, "My heart...how do you know...?", his heart was colder then cold but he place his hand over his heart, he walked closer to the boy who knew him striaght away.

    he looked confused as he took of his hoodie as he showed light blue that was extremly pircing, it showed death and pain...and suffring, very uneasy to look at if you were weak minded, he also had a scar on the left side of his face from his fore head down to the cheek, "Please tell me your name...", he looked at the boy as if he was looking through him.

    Yakate wrapped his arms tighter around him, the cold was really getting to him. It felt like cold was splitting his skin apart, and flowing through his blood; as if the boy who was approaching him was trying to freeze his heart as well. He felt a wonderful, hot trickle of sweat fall out of his hair, only to be frozen against his skin, and promptly drop on the floor. But his eyes...

    Yakate's dead, white eyes met the boy's piercing blue eyes. And for a moment, time seemed to stop. The expression on the boy's face; the expression on the eyes; the cold aura that he let out...

    Yakate's hair began flying to the right, as a slight breeze drafted over towards the two from the left; taht is, his left. He shut his eyes tight, and grimaced his face to show discomfort; his arms wrapped ever tightly. Most of his exposed skin felt numb and dead; and he was afraid to open his eyes. That sight of... being frozen within yourself. His soul felt crippled, his hands couldn't feel his heart beating anymore. His eyes were still closed, as the soft breeze continued to blow over; he opened his shy lips once more;

    "Ya... kate."

    Koori stood there as he heard the name, "Yakate...", he said to himself as yakate seemed shy or scared, he saw the cold affected him but there was nothing he could do the more he stayed the more colder if would get, thanks to the curse of his clan, he wonder why he was here...

    He moved closer to the boy as he place his ice cold hands on the boys shoulder, "Dont be scared...im not here...to hurt you...", even though if the curse was too bad he might, but his heart hasnt got to that stage yet, he looked at the boy still with his eyes as he saw he had white eyes.
