Outai Shinzui

Name of Weapon or Item:Outai Shinzui - Lone Spirit

Location: Hisashi carries the Katana in a sheath which is attached to his side. When in combat however, he usually holds the sheath in his left hand, preferring to use it to keep the sheath perfectly still while quickly drawing and placing his sword back in it.

Description: Outai Shinzui is in every way a normal Katana. The only special feature about it is the fur attached to the handle by a piece of string. Many believe that it has the ability to send out waves of near invisible chakra but this is in fact untrue, as Hisashi is unable to use chakra. It's true abilities lie in Hisashi's speed, allowing him to seemingly cut down an enemy with what looks like minimal or almost no movement at all to a normal eye. Those trained to watch high speed movements or those possessing a doujutsu such as Sharingan are able to see and track his every movement.

Damage The damage ranges from 1% for hits to minor regions to a full 100% damage for hits to vital areas and deep cuts. The speed with which it is swung causes it to drain 10% of Hisashi's stamina per swing, which accounts for his weakness to long, drawn out fights.

History: Outai Shinzui is in every aspect of it's design, a completely normal katana forged by a completely normal blacksmith, though no one knows when exactly it was forged or when Hisashi came to buy it. Many believe he bought it when he was still very young. When Hisashi first came across the katana in the shop, it was stored in the back, behind numerous other katana's which boasted powerful abilities and effects. Hisashi could feel as if this average katana was calling out to him somehow, and he inquired into it's price. The blacksmith laughed and told Hisashi that he could have the piece of junk for free. At this point, the katana had no name and did not have the fur attached to it. Hisashi took the katana and thanked the man who just continued to laugh. It's unknown about how long after that the fur was added to the handle, but the source of the nickname, Lone Spirit, can be traced to the days he had first come to possess it. Those who knew of Hisashi's wandering ways had named the katana that, as a reflection of it's owner. Hisashi has never owned another weapon and always makes sure to keep the blade in pristine condition, treating it as if it were alive.
